MEDIATION EXPERIENCE

Circuit Mediator for the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Sixth and Ninth Circuits (2014-2025) Mediated (and evaluated for mediation) cases by telephone and in-person, and assisted counsel with procedural issues.
Senior Mediator/Principal at The Center for Resolution of Disputes (1999-2007 and 2012-2014) Private mediation practice primarily in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. Mediated more than 500 cases with approximately 90% settlement rate.

District Mediator, U.S. District Court, Southern District of Ohio (2007-2012)
Appointed by the judges to design and implement a unique, experimental in-house mediation program. Mediated more than 600 cases in-person at every stage of litigation from pre-suit to post-trial.

Summary
Twenty years of experience handling a unique combination of complex commercial litigation, employment law, general business matters, and ADR in large, medium, and small/solo firms representing clients ranging from individuals to small businesses to Fortune 100 companies. Experience was primarily first-chair responsibility for a wide variety of civil litigation matters, including five federal court trials, two dozen state court trials, several administrative hearings and six appellate arguments.
